Summer Lovin!

I'm so very excited for summer :-)
Let me tell you, you never fully appreciate how AMAZING Australian summer is until you live in the U.K... I will appreciate it so much more for the rest of my life!
It's not just the weather I'm excited about. This summer is going to be jam packed full of fun.
Moving back to Sydney
Christmas at the Luhrmann's
New Years at the Luhrmann's
Australia Day at Big Day Out
and scheduled visits to the Gold Coast and Hobart in between all that.

Taught 8am till 5pm Saturday which was unusually fun. Had some really good classes and am working on some contemporary pieces that I LOVE so I get quite enthusiastic doing those classes.
Saturday night was very chilled out I had a Sex and the City Marathon and ate my ice-cream with strawberries and MnM's as pictured a few blogs previous.

Today I was Lil miss house wife 3 loads of washing and ironing and started a bit of a craft project (will show the finished product when it's done). Also popped myself in the kitchen for a bit of cooking (second time this week).
Today I cooked my Bolognase pasta bake... See pictures below!

Chicken Maggi

So 7 weeks left teaching at La Vive & only 6 weeks until I make my first of many trips to Sydney to move my life back there.
This is where the picture of the stir-fry pops into the story. When I move back to Sydney I'll be living in a house of five people. due to having five people they have decided that every house mate has a designated cooking night between monday to friday. I quite like the sound of this as it means I only have to cook once a week (and on weekends if I chose to, but I think weekends may become take out nights for me). Anyway back to the stir-fry... I've always been a fairly decent cook, not taught by anyone just make up my own things but I often make something once and then forget about it. So as I've got to cook for other people once every week I've decided to store some of my recipes safe and sound here on my blog so I can go back and get inspiration.
Here is my "Chicken Maggi"

1 whole BBQ chicken
5 packets of oriental flavoured 2 minute noodles

sigh...

I have nothing to blog about at the moment except the fact that I really would just love to completely blow my existing diet and exercise regime and eat this!!!

Please Sir, could I have some more?

My life could be better at the moment...
Could have more fun, more love, more fulfillment... More happiness!
Nothing I can do about this until I can finally move!
8 weeks!

A momentary lapse of reality!

happiness is fine but its momentary,

a momentary lapse of reality.

reality is fine for the moment,

it can wait – im addicted to the chase of my happiness.

grief!

I have been sooking a lot recently about the current state of my extremely damaged hair.
It wont grow, because it gets to a certain length and then snaps off. This is due to the fact that last year I had the genius idea to try life as a blonde. HUGE mistake and NEVER again. The hairdresser keeps telling me the best thing to do is chop it all off and start over but I cannot bare this so therefore, am spending $100's on very expensive Redken hair products.
Anyway to the point of this blog, I thought that if I posted some pictures of me with blonde hair it can serve as two purposes. The first being it will remind me that I did like being blonde so it wasn't all a complete waste and the second a reminder never to do this EVER again!

The Seven Deadly Sins

For our end of year presentation this December I had the bright idea/suggestion that, instead of reciting a 'traditional' ballet (something we've done every year at La Vive for as long as I can remember) we do a Contemporary piece. Miss E jumped at the idea however it then became my job to come up with a story/music/choreography for such a thing. At first it seemed a little daunting however I soon realised I'd probably be required to do a lot of this sort of stuff at uni next year and that this would be quite a good 'trial' for such tasks.
I have decided to do the "Seven Deadly Sins" as they are presented in the bible. I have done a fair amount of research into the topic and have discovered a lot of interesting facts along the way. This is actually the one thing I love about the bible. I don't believe a word of it but I find the 'tales' so interesting.
Choosing the topic was the easy part, it was more finding the music and editing it together to make one continuous piece. I have decided to use quotes and other speeches stolen from YouTube for the transition of each sin. For example the beginning of 'Vanity' starts with the famous line from 'Snow White' "Magic mirror on the wall, who's the fairest one of all" and for the commencement of 'Wrath' I've taken one of Lucas Scott's 'speeches' from One Tree Hill. "Does this darkness have a name, this cruelty, this hatred?" etc etc...
There is a lot of work to be done. It goes for 35 minutes in total and we have just 9 weeks to learn and rehears but I'm feeling optimistic about it, I hope I remain this way!
Stay Tuned...

Glitter in the Air

Photobucket

Have you ever fed a lover with just your hands?
Close your eyes and trust it, just trust it
Have you ever thrown a fist full of glitter in the air?
Have you ever looked fear in the face
And said I just don't care?

It's only half past the point of no return
The tip of the iceberg, the sun before the burn
The thunder before lightning, the breath before the phrase
Have you ever felt this way?

Have you ever hated yourself for staring at the phone?
Your whole life waiting on the ring to prove you're not alone
Have you ever been touched so gently you had to cry?
Have you ever invited a stranger to come inside?

It's only half past the point of oblivion
The hourglass on the table, the walk before the run
The breath before the kiss and the fear before the flames
Have you ever felt this way?

There you are, sitting in the garden
Clutching my coffee, calling me sugar
You called me sugar

Have you ever wished for an endless night?
Lassoed the moon and the stars and pulled that rope tight
Have you ever held your breath and asked yourself
Will it ever get better than tonight? Tonight
